Canadian health officials are concerned that while COVID-19 numbers are starting to see a decrease, some provinces are reopening too soon.
In Alberta, restaurants and gyms will be able to ease restrictions on Feb. 8, and this past week, Quebec Premier François Legault hinted at changing health protocols to help retail owners.
But with variants of COVID-19 spreading in the population, Canada's top doctor and other officials say it may be too soon to crack open the door to changes.
