Alberta will be easing some restrictions on Monday amid a decline in new COVID-19 cases.
Restaurants will be allowed to open for in-person dining again Feb. 8 and gyms will be able to have one-on-one training. People 18 and under will be able to take part in sports practices of groups of 10, though no games are allowed.
But even as the reopening is set to begin, health officials and some members of the public are concerned new COVID-19 variants could cause further issues. As Heather Yourex-West reports, the risks posed by these variants is raising concerns about reopening too soon.
