As Canadians grapple with the housing affordability crisis, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says he will taking aim at house-flippers if he is elected, promising to boost their taxable capital gains.

As Abigial Bimman reports, the announcement in British Columbia comes on the heels of Vancouver Liberal candidate Taleeb Noormohamed coming under fire for his own history.

Noormohamed, who is running for the Vancouver-Granville riding, was recently revealed to have flipped 41 properties since 2005, turning $5 million in profit.

Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole is also making more pledges on the campaign trail.

If elected, he is promising to tackle Canada's tremendous deficit, vowing to balance the country's budget within the next 10 years.

The Tories plan on steering clear of proposing cuts while paying down Canada's debt by growing the economy and slowing down government spending.

But as Mercedes Stephenson reports, the plan sounds familiar to Liberal's strategy.
