Canadian MPs have been working overtime and overnight, in an extended voting session in the House of Commons triggered by the Conservatives.

The filibuster-like tactic is meant to try and get the Liberal government to remove carbon pricing on all home heating and MPs from other parties are calling the strategy legislative abuse.

Most of the votes are on government estimates and are causing spending to be delayed. The voting, which started Thursday, could last until Friday evening.
