The 2021 federal election remains neck-and-neck as a new poll by Ipsos done exclusively for Global News shows the Liberals' support crumbling with the incumbent party now falling behind the Conservatives for the first time while, staying in a statistical tie.
Ipsos CEO Darrell Bricker says part of this comes from the battlegrounds of B.C., Ontario and Quebec, where the Liberals are now in third in British Columbia, and practically tied in Ontario with the Conservatives. They also are once again in a race for first place with the Bloc Québécois in Quebec as they were in 2019.
The poll found the Liberals with 31 per cent of support from those surveyed, with the Conservatives at 32 per cent and the NDP surging to 23 per cent.
