Ontario Premier Doug Ford shook up his cabinet on Monday after the resignation of Steve Clark as housing minister. Clark’s departure was triggered by weeks of controversy surrounding the Greenbelt land swap.

MPP Paul Calandra will take over Clark’s old portfolio and residents from Calandra’s riding of Markham-Stouffville, which resides in the Greenbelt, have been reacting to the news.

“100 per cent,” reacted one resident when asked if the land swaps should be rolled back, adding that “people should be put in jail.”
