Canada to receive 18M+ doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine by end of July | FULL

Canada is set to receive over 68 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine by the end of July, thanks to an increased shipment of Moderna supply.

Outlining the specifics of the deliveries at a federal health ministers’ COVID-19 media briefing on Friday, Procurement Minister Anita Anand said Canada will receive a total of more than 18 million doses of Moderna this quarter, which she said is “well over the approximately 12 million doses originally forecasted.”

That’s on top of the one million doses that Canada received from the United States government on Thursday, the minister said.

Although deliveries of Pfizer have been tweaked, Anand said Canada will still receive 9.1 million doses in July.
