Canada is again facing COVID-19 vaccine delivery shortages – this time from Moderna, Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin announced on Thursday. He said this is due to “intense” global demand for the vaccines. However, Fortin added the Pfizer vaccine shipments will continue to arrive according to schedule.

Plus, Canada has reached a new COVID-19 vaccination milestone – 10.8 million people have received at least one inoculation, according to Deputy Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Howard Njoo.

The doctor added that 30 per cent of Canadian adults have received at least one dose.

Through a bilateral agreement, 20 million doses of AstraZeneca’s vaccine are expected to funnel into Canada from manufacturing plants in the U.S. over the second and third quarters of this year.
