During an update regarding the partially collapsed oceanfront condominium tower near Miami in Surfside, Fla., Miami-Dade Country Mayor Daniella Levine Cava announced on Monday that a 10th body had been uncovered from the rubble.

"We're going to continue and work ceaselessly to exhaust every possible option in our search," Levine Cava said. "The search-and-rescue operation continues."

There are 151 people still unaccounted for, she stated.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSanits also told reporters that search and rescue teams had been working “for over 100 hours straight,” and that they vowed to keep looking for any possible survivors.

The cause of the collapse remains under investigation. Four Canadians are also confirmed to be among those still missing.

Authorities announced earlier they are beginning an audit of buildings nearing their 40-year review — like the fallen Champlain Towers South — to make sure they’re safe.
