Ontario Premier Doug Ford is facing backlash regarding his public offering of his personal cell phone number back in June.

Following a speech at the Empire Club earlier this summer, Ford offered attendees his number, claiming they can text him if their families of businesses ever have a problem — backing his personal brand of easy accessibility.

The attendees, however, included voters and CEOs alike, raising questions about who exactly has access to Ford, who makes the decisions in Canada’s largest province.

Following a scathing Greenbelt report from Ontario’s auditor general last week, people are demanding his phone records to be released publicly. Global’s Colin D’Mello reports.
