After announcing that his government will be reversing the controversial Greenbelt land swap decision it made earlier this year, Ontario Premier Doug Ford addressed the media Thursday afternoon, taking questions and acknowledging his initial "mistake."

"I've come out here today to admit it was wrong," Ford said. "It was a wrong decision and we're putting this land back in the Greenbelt. We're going to continue to be focused 100 per cent on every avenue to build homes for people in this province.

Last year, the province took 7,400 acres of land in more than a dozen sections out of the Greenbelt to build 50,000 homes, citing the housing crisis, and Ford has faced large amounts of opposition to the plan since then.

Reports from the auditor general and integrity commissioner found that the process to select lands was rushed and favoured certain developers.
