A new poll done exclusively by Ipsos for Global News has found 74 per cent of those surveyed are worried that public distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine will be too slow to stop the coronavirus surge.

The poll also found while 66 per cent of Canadians are satisfied with efforts by the federal government to secure a vaccine, 79 per cent say the country could still be doing more to secure vaccines sooner.

Vaccine production was also a topic of issue for Canadians with 86 per cent agreeing it was reasonable countries producing their own vaccines should prioritize their own countries first, but more than nine in 10 Canadians think the country should have its own vaccine production facilities.
