Alberta Minister of Forestry, Parks and Tourism Todd Loewen will join officials from the Alberta Emergency Management Agency and Alberta Wildfire to update the ongoing situation in the province on Tuesday.
As of Tuesday morning, Alberta Wildfire had 94 wildfires burning across the province, 24 of which were listed as out of control.
Alberta Wildfire’s Christie Tucker said the biggest threat Monday is the change in wind direction, which can lead to “unpredictable wildfire behaviour. It could also affect the movement and intensity of wildfires.”
