Saskatchewan Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) will provide an update Wednesday after the 4-day manhunt for Myles Sanderson, a suspect in one of the worst mass killings in Canadian history, ended in his capture.
Multiple police sources have told Global News the suspect has since died. They believe as a result of self-inflicted injuries.
Sanderson, who was facing multiple charges related to a series of fatal stabbings on Sunday, was apprehended around 3:30 p.m. near Rosthern, a town north of Saskatoon and more than 100 kilometres southwest of James Smith Cree Nation, where many of the attacks took place.
