RCMP officer in Burnaby, B.C., killed while on duty

'This is a really tragic and difficult time right now,' said NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, also the MP for Burnaby South, about the death of a female RCMP officer who was killed while on duty Tuesday. 'Everyone is reeling with this, knowing that someone was just doing their job, trying to serve the community, and lost their life doing so.'
