Speaking in Ottawa on Sunday, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre said that his party is focused on reversing Canada’s “housing hell” and axing the carbon pricing scheme, ahead of Parliament’s return on Monday.

“You can buy a castle in Sweden for the price of a two-bedroom in Kitchener,” Poilievre said, blaming Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for inflation and high housing costs.

The day before, Trudeau announced the names of the 39 Liberal MPs who will serve as parliamentary secretaries in the coming sitting of Parliament.
