Early results from a University of Oxford study looking into the mixing of COVID-19 vaccine doses, specifically Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca, shows doing so is safe though it is still too soon to tell whether combining the doses will provided an improved immune response.
The data comes as Canada's federal government faces pressure from provinces to release guidance on the safety and efficacy of vaccine mixing amid supply shortages.
Crystal Goomansingh reports on the findings and what this means for vaccination rollouts going forward.
