Manitoba asks feds for help as hospitals grapple with COVID-19 surge

Amid the darkest days of Manitoba's pandemic, Premier Brian Pallister is asking the federal government to send help as the province saw 594 more new cases of COVID-19.

Pallister requested up to 50 critical care nurses and 20 respiratory therapists, as well as up to 50 contact tracers. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said they are committed to working with the province to provide additional supports.
