Majority of Canadians anticipate COVID-19 restrictions to result in another lost summer, poll shows

A majority of Canadians believe that COVID-19 restrictions will result in another disappointing summer, according to a poll done exclusively for Global News by Ipsos, with seven in 10 Canadians anticipating a second lost summer season.

Canadians recognize the pandemic is far from over, the poll showed, and only one in four Canadians plan on travelling outside their province this summer, with only 15 per cent looking at international travel.

And travel is also not the only thing Canadians are also being cautious about, with less than half saying they'd feel safe attending an outdoor event or festival this upcoming season.
