Video captured the moment a church in the La Palma, Spain, village of Todoque was consumed by lava just days after the building escaped destruction earlier this week.

Elsewhere, seismic activity due to the volcano caused a rockslide to occur at a cliff near the island's Tazacorte port, with a magnitude-2.6 earthquake having been reported.

The volcano continues to spew smoke and lava since erupting last Sunday. It has forced the evacuation of nearly 6,000 people and destroyed hundreds of buildings.
