Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his forces must take full control of Gaza’s border corridor with Egypt to ensure a “full demilitarization” of the area. His comments signal the fighting in Gaza could go on for months and push much further south. As Sean O’Shea reports, they also come amid mounting pressure from the international community to protect civilians in the region.

A new national survey shows Canadians has increasingly negative feelings toward home ownership in 2023. Many say that reality is now exclusively for the rich and some 79 per cent said they don’t feel the federal government is doing enough to help. Anne Gaviola looks at what 2024 may bring for Canada’s housing market.
