In tonight’s top story: There were reports of explosions and shelling Friday on or near multiple hospitals in Gaza. Some hospitals are now fully out of power and are conducting surgery by flashlight, while the Israeli military pushes deeper into the enclave. Daniel Hamamdjian has the latest.

Even before the Hamas attack on Israel, this was already the deadliest year on record for Palestinians living in the Israeli-controlled West Bank according to the United Nations. On Friday, the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights called on Israel to protect them. But as Mike Armstrong reports, rising tensions in the weeks since have only made the situation worse.
