COVID-19: Excess deaths 'too high', says Independent Sage member

Figures from the Office for National Statistics show the number of so-called 'excess deaths' between March 2020 and December 2021 was higher than expected.

Professor Christina Pagel says that as the impact of booster jabs begins to wane, the number of COVID-19 infections will increase and we could see further waves in future.
