Brazil's coronavirus situation is becoming direr by the day, with more than 3,700 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours and cemeteries holding funerals at night to accommodate all the burials.
But, unlike his French counterpart, Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro is resisting any new restrictions in spite of experts in the country saying Brazil needs to adapt urgently to turn the tide.
The slow vaccination campaign has people frustrated and angry; only 2.1 percent of Brazilians received two shots, and only a third of the 77 million who qualify for shots are being vaccinated.
