Canada's sixth COVID-19 wave is underway, as infections and hospitalizations creep up.

Ontario is already the latest province to make a second booster – a fourth COVID-19 vaccine shot – available as early as April 7 to anyone over the age of 60, along with vulnerable groups.

The move comes as hospitalizations have risen in Ontario from 611 two weeks ago, to 1074 – an increase of over 70 per cent.
