Quebec Premier François Legault on Tuesday thanked people for their response to COVID-19 and that their situation was better than what's seen in Europe or the U.S., but stressed they "must do better."
He said Quebec City has reacted swiftly, but there are other regions where people are "not doing what we must," asking people to reduce their contacts.

Legault made the comments during a press conference Tuesday alongside chief medical officer of health Dr. Horacio Arruda and Health Minister Christian Dube.

On Tuesday, Quebec reported 871 new cases of COVID-19, with 34 new deaths. The province sits at 108,889 total confirmed cases and 6,317 deaths.
