Ontario is expected to announce new COVID-19 lockdowns in several regions in the province on Monday, as well as the extension of measures already in place. It comes as the province saw 2,290 new cases and 40 more deaths from COVID-19.
Premier Doug Ford spoke with health officials in an emergency meeting to try to find ways to slow the spread.
At a national level, Canada's chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam is calling for tougher rules now as there are worries the curve isn't bending which could lead to worse situations in hospitals. Mike Le Couteur reports.
