Coronavirus: Biden unveils "bold" 5-part plan to ramp-up vaccinations | FULL

On Friday, president-elect Joe Biden unveiled his five-part plan aimed at ramping up vaccinations across the United States.

The plan includes administering more “free” vaccinations, creating more vaccine sites, mobilizing additional medical teams, increasing supply, and increasing transparency about the administrations ongoing efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Biden also pledged to reimburse states 100 per cent if they deploy the National Guard in the fight against COVID-19.

The former vice-president also called out Republican lawmakers that refused to wear masks as rioters overtook the U.S. Capitol. “It’s time to grow up,” he told them.

Biden had previously said its plan to bolster the response to the virus and the rollout of vaccines, as part of a $1.9-trillion aid package, would cost approximately $415 billion.
