Despite a decline in the number of COVID-19 cases, Canada's health-care system is still under pressure.

Provinces are grappling with immense backlogs of cancelled surgeries, as hospitals tried to stay focused on the pandemic. In Ontario alone, about 440,000 surgeries are still waitlisted — a backlog that could take over three years to clear up.

But as Mike Drolet explains, one proposal surrounding 'surgical hubs' in the United Kingdom could offer a potential solution from across the pond.
