There's an urgent need for blood donations in Canada, as hospitals race to clear surgical backlogs caused by COVID-19. There’s an estimated backlog of more than 700,000 surgeries across the country.

Canadian Blood Services says it needs over 23,000 blood donors by the end of July to fill the gap. Jamie Maraucher reports on the concerns over a potential blood shortage.
