Though the first week of an election campaign is often forgotten by voting day, as Canada heads into week two it's a good time to take stock of where things stand, which leader has momentum and what issues have thrown campaigns off track.

With the Afghanistan crisis following him across the country and criticism over a recent Twitter video, Mercedes Stephenson takes a look at the issues impacting Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau's campaign and how the party is trying to get things back on the rails.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the vast majority of deaths in Canada were in long-term care homes, with more than 14,000 deaths during the first two waves. And those in these residences that were operated for profit were sick and died at a much higher rate than those in non-profit homes.
