Heading in to the election on Sept. 20, experts suggest Canada is a low-priority target for disinformation.
One political expert, speaking specifically about the possibility of disinformation on COVID-19 and the vaccine, said political leaders “are pretty much on the same page” and he doesn’t expect it to play a large role in this election campaign.
However, others suggest some political actors could seek to divide through disinformation campaigns targeting the crisis in Afghanistan or the residential school discoveries. Noor Ibrahim reports.
