York Region police release 911 audio of Vaughan, Ont., home invasion

As a warning to homeowners, York Region police released video and audio of an armed home invasion in Vaughan, Ont. In the footage, suspects could be heard demanding money from the occupants of the home, while instructing them to get off the phone.

Police say no one was seriously injured, and that three suspects were taken into custody that day. A total of five have since been charged with 37 offences, including robbery with a firearm. Police also seized three firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun.

Police are now providing tips to residents, as they say they've seen a sharp rise in these types of crimes.
