Police confirm 1 dead, 3 injured after daytime shooting in Vaughan home

York Regional Police detailed the events of a shooting in a neighbourhood in Vaughan, north of Toronto, on Friday morning.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene, while three others were hospitalized after being found in the Casa Nova Drive home, following multiple reports of a shooting before 9 a.m. ET.

Two of the victims had life-threatening injuries, while the other two sustained presently unknown injuries, according to York Regional Police's Const. Lisa Moskaluk.

Though no suspect(s) have currently been identified, Moskaluk says it's not believed their is a danger to the public, adding that the incident is believed to have been "targeted and isolated." A police investigation is ongoing.
