Police have confirmed five people were killed in Tulsa, Okla., on Wednesday in a shooting at Saint Francis’ Natalie Medical Building, including the gunman, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Update: Police have identified the gunman who killed four at a hospital in Tulsa, Okla. on Wednesday as Michael Lewis, whose motive was found in a letter on his body, which "made it clear" that he intended to kill his doctor whom he blamed for the pain he experienced after back surgery on May 19.

According to a Tulsa police officer who was inside the building, the shooting happened on a lower floor and the victims appeared to be dressed as a doctor and nurses, though their official titles are not known at this time.

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle in the building. This call then turned into an active shooter situation.

Police said officers are going through every room in the building to check for additional threats and that the reunification area for families is at Memorial High School.
