South Yorkshire has become the latest area of England to be put into the highest Covid alert level - Tier 3. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
It means 1.4 million more people will not be allowed to meet indoors unless they are part of a support bubble from Saturday, and pubs and bars that do not serve food will have to close.
Greater Manchester, Lancashire and the Liverpool City Region are already under Tier 3 regulations.
