Residential school whistleblower to be honoured with plaque in Ottawa

Dr. Peter Bryce first blew the whistle on residential schools in 1907, reporting that inadequate sanitation, poor ventilation and overcrowded classrooms and dormitories were leading to major outbreaks of disease, including tuberculosis. He was ignored.
