Hydro-Quebec says it hopes to reconnect power to the over 100,000 customers left without electricity since last week's ice storm by Monday.
But with clean-up efforts still in full force, some outages will not be resolved before Tuesday.
As Montreal public health continues to deal with an overwhelming amount of carbon monoxide poisoning cases, the province announced some grocery stores could remain open on Easter Sunday to help residents low on food after the blackout.
