The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) is expected to announce Wednesday the results of a strike vote held from February 22 to April 11, impacting 120,000 federal public service workers.

A potential strike, which would impact more than 35,000 Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) workers, comes as the deadline for filing taxes approaches.

The CRA had previously said it was "confident" a compromise could be reached, adding that it would be transparent about any impact on its services if workers were to go on strike.

The deadline for filing income tax and benefit returns for 2022 is April 30, but since that's a Sunday, the agency says Canadians can still file on May 1.
