Pride 2023: People across the globe celebrate LGBTQ2+ community

Cities around the world were awash in the sights and sounds of Pride, as parades and marches were held in countries across the globe on Sunday.

In San Francisco, where the United States’ largest Pride event is held, the highlight of the event was the world’s largest Pride laser, stretching 4.1 miles (6.59 kilometres) from the Ferry Building to Twin Peaks.

Parade attendees in Mexico City, which is home to Mexico’s most visible LGBTQ2+ community, flooded the iconic Reforma boulevard.

Parades were also held in Toronto, Paris, and Singapore. Joe Scarpelli reports.
