Palestinians in Canada are scrambling to file visa applications for loved ones trapped in the Gaza Strip.

The federal program was originally set up to allow 1,000 people to apply for a permit, which would allow them to take refuge in Canada for three years if their families can financially support them.

As Neetu Garcha explains, while there is no hard cap on how many people will be approved, applicants may have to make some impossible decisions.
