The Kremlin said on Wednesday it had not received any proposals about a "Christmas ceasefire" in Ukraine.

This comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called earlier this week for Russia to start withdrawing its troops from his country by Christmas, nearly 10 months since the conflict began.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defence Ministry said its military training exercises were being conducted "day and night" in Belarus.
