Lampedusa overwhelmed by migrant arrivals

About 70,00 migrants have arrived in the Italian island of Lampedusa in the past few days, with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni vowing to take "extraordinary measures" and urging for a naval blockade.

The migrant arrivals have doubled the population of the island, overwhelming existing facilities and triggering urgent appeals for help from politicians, as Sky's international correspondent John Sparks reports.
