Labour chair 'pleased' Elphicke is 'putting her constituents first'

Anneliese Dodds, the chair of the Labour Party, tells Sky News that Natalie Elphicke's defection, shows some Tory MPs are "deciding they can't stick with the failing Conservative Party anymore".

"I think it's quite right that she's chosen Labour now, and she's putting her constituents first," she added.

Mrs Elphicke, who campaigned for Brexit, said the change in the Tory party since she entered parliament in 2019 "has been dramatic and cannot be ignored".
