At least 10 people were killed in flash floods in Turkey's Black Sea region on Thursday that sent water and debris cascading through streets, damaged bridges and ripped up roads in the second natural disaster to strike the country this month.
The floodwaters brought chaos to northern provinces like Kastamonu and Sinop, where more than 1,300 people were evacuated from the areas affected, some with the help of helicopters and boats.
Footage captured a group of friends who formed a human chain in Sinop to rescue a puppy from drowning in the floodwaters, while drone footage documented rescue operations of people stranded on roofs of buildings.
**As of Friday, the death toll rose to 27 people.**
