Flash floods caused devastation in Turkey's northwest, claimed the lives of at least five people, including two in Istanbul, and injured more than 30 individuals on Wednesday.
The Istanbul municipality conducted search and rescue operations to rescue over a hundred people stranded by floods overnight. According to local media reports, three people died and three are missing in Kirklareli province following flooding on Tuesday.
Istanbul saw an equivalent to a month's worth of rain in September so far, the governor's office said.
