Sky News spoke to Conservative shadow foreign secretary Andrew Mitchell about the attack on Donald Trump.

Mr Mitchell condemned the incident and said political debate has "coarsened" in the UK because of social media.

He also said that "of course, there's the whole issue of guns and gun licensing in America which lurks in the foreground rather than the background on all of this".
