Shadow Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds has told Sophy Ridge "there has arguably been no worse Prime Minister than Liz Truss".

He was speaking after Ms Truss released a 4,000-word essay in the Sunday Telegraph about what she had wanted to do as PM and why she thought it did not work.

Mr Reynolds said: "There has arguably been no worse worse Prime Minister than Liz Truss. Forty nine days and the record she had and ultimately politics, it's about people and there are many people in this country paying higher mortgage rates as a result of her actions."
