Shadow Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds says "he cannot stress enough how angry people should be at the government for one of the biggest unforced errors in policy making".

He told Sky News that Labour "completely rejects" the government's approach to the economy.

He once again called for parliament to be recalled and the mini-budget to be withdrawn.
