The RCMP is now investigating the July 2021 death of 57-year-old Wei Hu, a Canadian man who says he was once targeted as part of a foreign interference campaign by the Chinese government.

Hu died from apparent suicide, but before his death claimed he’d been harassed and intimidated by Chinese government agents.

Jeff Semple has the exclusive details, including what Hu once ominously told a friend that still haunts her to this day.
